Customize the Layout on Your iPad 2
To reorganize the icons (apps) on your iPad's screen, touch any app and hold your finger down on it for a few seconds. You will see that all the apps on the current screen will begin to shake rapidly and have a black "X" emblem appear on the upper left-hand projection of the app. This feature allows you to then press and hold any app that you want to move and simply slide it into the position of your choice. To take an app to a dissimilar home screen altogether, slide the app all the way to the left or right side of the screen and you will find yourself on the next available Home Screen. If you are keen an app that is used frequently, you may want to move it down to the "dock" so that it appears on each Home Screen.
Deleting Apps on Your iPad 2
Deleting apps on your iPad is a lot easier than you probably imagined. All you have to do is press your finger down on any app until the apps start rapidly shaking again. Look for the black "X" on the upper left-hand projection of the app you wish to delete and tap it. You will be asked if you want to delete this app. settle on "yes" and the app will be at once deleted.
Once you have moved each app in the desired position, press the Home button and you will have a Home Screen with a fresh, organized look and feel.
