Backing Up iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch

Manually backing up your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch to your Mac or Pc

iTunes has a built in back up feature. It will not back up all and rarely those backups can fail. It is still a good idea to have an iTunes backup just in case.

Note that the iTunes back up will not save any paid or free article that you have downloaded. It saves settings, mail, contacts, calendar and photos in the camera roll. Connect your gismo and wait for it to appear in iTunes. Right click on your gismo in the left hand side of iTunes under the devices heading and opt back up.
