If you own an iPod and also have more than one computer you may want to pull music and video files from each computer to put on your iPod. The approved iPod settings any way only let you sync your iPod to one computer at a time. But there is a way nearby this if you turn your settings.
This only works for approved iPods, such as the Classic, Nano and Shuffle. It will not work with the iPod Touch or the iPhone.

The first thing you need to do is to forget about syncing your iPod to any computer. Syncing is when your iPod automatically pulls content from your computer when you join together it and open iTunes. You can still load music and video on to your iPod without syncing. However, you need to make some changes and start from scratch if you have already been syncing your iPod with a single computer. Make sure you have all your music and video on one computer or the other, ready to copy back to your iPod.

Connect your iPod to your computer and open iTunes. Make sure you are using the most recent version of iTunes. Your iPod should appear in the left on the left. elect it and you will see a series of tabs at the top of the iTunes window: Summary, Music, Movies, etc.
Select Summary. Look under Options and you will see any choices, along with "Manually manage Music and Videos." elect that and press the large Apply button at the lowest right.
This will clear off the music and video from your iPod, which had been synced before. Now you can add music and video back on to your iPod by simply dragging songs, albums and artists from your iTunes library on to your iPod listed in the left sidebar.
Better still, you can do this from more than one computer, hooking up your iPod and launching iTunes to drag new content on to it. However, you will not be allowed to drag content from your iPod to your computer, only the other way around.
